Meet Dani
Hello! I am a follower of Jesus, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Substance Abuse Counselor, motivational speaker, mentor, disability advocate, and owner of Seeds of Hope Therapy, LLC. More importantly, I’m a woman with a disability, who understands the pain of living in a world not made for you, or carrying wounds as a child that were too heavy to bear, and trying to cover those wounds with anything that would numb it. My story is messy, but it’s one of hope, of healing, of redemption, and I’m passionate about making mental healthcare accessible to those with disabilities and other marginalized groups.
I have been working in the field for about 9 years in various hospital, clinic, and mentorship settings. I have experience working with both teens and adults struggling with various addictions or mental health diagnoses. I specialize in trauma and addiction and am trained in EMDR. I have also worked with women who are survivors of sexual or domestic violence.
I believe in meeting people where they are at and providing the hope to help each client pursue the healing God has for them. If you or your loved one feels held captive by thoughts, habits, or hurts, I may be the right fit to help you pursue freedom.
It’s only when I combined therapeutic techniques with spiritual truth that I found God’s peace and my deepest healing. Having lived life with Spina Bifida, I understand what it feels like to try and put a band-aid on a much bigger wound that God intended to redeem and use for His Glory.
“But Now, this is what the Lord says-He who created you, He who formed you. ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. And when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not burned, the flames will not consume you’." -Isaiah 43: 1-2
